Mr. Douglas Wayne Clay, age 66, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at his residence. He was born March 11, 1941 in Polk County.

He is preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Ruth Patterson Clay.

Family members surviving are sons, John Douglas Clay, Jeffrey Bryan Clay, and Stephen Kirt Clay; sisters, Dollene Carter and Delilah Hindman; brothers, Danny Clay, David Clay, and Donnie "Bubba" Clay. Four grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Douglas Clay will be conducted on Saturday, January 5, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield and Rev. Barry Snapp officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Floyd Barber, John Douglas Clay, Jeffrey Bryan Clay, Stephen Kirt Clay, Danny Clay, David Clay, and Donnie "Bubba" Clay.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 4, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home
