Mr. Douglas McArthur "Butch" Ayers, age 56, of Cedartown passed away, Saturday May 7, 2005. He was born on January 29, 1949 in Haralson County to the late Pansy Reddish Ayers and Lige Cornelius Ayers. Mr. Ayers is preceded in death by his Mother Pansy Reddish Ayers, Father Lige Cornelius Ayers, Sisters Judy & Darlene Ayers, Brothers Bobby Gene, Jerry Lee, & Billy Ray Ayers.

He is survived by his sisters, Janice Gail George & Patricia Ann Patterson and his brothers, Larry Joe & Steve Ayers.
The family will receive Monday May 9th from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The funeral for Mr. Douglas McArthur "Butch" Ayers will be conducted on Tuesday, May 10th at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Dr. Larry Conner officiating. The interment will follow in the Little Creek Cemetery.

The Pallbearers are Chad Ayers, Cam Patterson, Tommy Clark, Kevin Patterson, Donald Ayers, and Wayne Ayers.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Douglas McArthur Ayers.
