Mrs. Dorothy Louise "Dot" Cantrell, age 76, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006. She was born March 25, 1930 in Cleburne County, Alabama to parents, the late Carl Pruitt and the late Nannie McWhorter Pruitt.

Mrs. Dot Cantrell was a retired nurse. She was a member of the Lake Creek Baptist Church where she was the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class Teacher and a member of the church choir.

Mrs. Dorothy Louise "Dot" Cantrell is survived by husband, Clinton Cantrell; daughters, Darlene Smoak, Sandy Murphy, and Vicki Beasley; sisters, Atha Price and Flora Davidson. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Dorothy Louise "Dot" Cantrell will be conducted on Sunday, October 22nd at 2:00p.m. at the Lake Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Webb and Rev. Ray Hopkins officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 21st from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
