Dorothy Zuker McGowan, age 71, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Friday, February 4, 2011. She was born December 19, 1939 in Cedartown, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Gus P. Zuker, Sr. and Nell Shiflett Zuker.

Mrs. McGowan is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. William T. McCown III and Christy, Mark McCown and Amy; sisters, Joanne Brock, Tish Moore; brother, Gus P. Zuker, Jr.; and grandchildren, Molly Anne McCown, Kathryn Lee McCown, Philip Michael McCown, Melena McCown, and Morgan Peek. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted and that any donations can be to the charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Zuker McGowan.
