Mrs. Dorothy Othella Grogan Lester, age 82 of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was born on September 29, 1934 in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late Manco and Mary Lou Gary Grogan.

Mrs. Lester is survived by her husband, Dan Lester; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Kristin Lester and Mike and Tammy Lester; brother, Bobby Joe Grogan; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lester is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nelle Odell, Faye Merritt and Edna Casey and brothers, Edward Grogan and J.W. Grogan.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Dorothy Othella Grogan Lester will be conducted on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Lester will receive family and friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from ten o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The family has requested that flowers are to be omitted and donations can be made to a charity of your choosing.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jonathan Lester, Ethan Lester, Jackson Lester, Ray Hammett, Scott Grogan and Anthony Shell. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Grogan, Joshua Lester, Andrew Lester and Ashleigh Lester.
