Mrs. Dorothy Vinson Elkins, age 79, of Cedartown passed away Monday, November 6, 2006. She was born on March 1, 1927 in Polk County.

She is preceded in death by parents, Robert Homer Vinson and Arvetta Early Vinson.

Mrs. Elkins is survived by her husband, Will J. Elkins and sons and daughters-in-law, David Elkins and Glenda Elkins; Douglas Elkins and Brenda Elkins, brothers Dean Vinson and Earley Vinson. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 8th at 2:00p.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. Dewayne New officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7th from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Glen Vinson, Larry Burson, Tony Morgan, Jimmy Ramply, Phillip Haney, Melvin Godfry, Jason Elkins, Danny Earley, Ray Earley, Tommy Earley, Robert Osika, Randy Early, Darrell Watters and Mike McIntyre.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mr. Dorothy Vinson Elkins.
