Ms. Doris Faye Womack Hughes, age 70 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015. She was born on August 7, 1944 in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late Joe K. and Sarah Louise Brookshire Womack.

Ms. Hughes is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Gene Hughes and Laurie and Tommy Hughes and Ginny; sister, Joyce Ann Owens; grandchildren, Trey Hughes, Will Hughes and Brooke Brinkley (Jason); great-grandchild, Camryn McDowell and special niece, Lisa K. McLain.

Ms. Hughes is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Emory Hughes and sister, Brenda Womack.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Hughes will be conducted on Monday, July 13, 2015 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Wadsworth and Rev. Audie Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Hughes will receive family and friends on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Craig McDonald, Neil Short, Ron Casey, Stephen Casey, Lee Dingler and Genile Winslett.
