Mrs. Doris Welch, age 89, of Ellijay, Georgia, formally of Cedartown, passed away on March 7, 2011. She was born on December 30, 1921 in Harlan, Kentucky; the daughter of the late Mr. and Mr. Charles and Anna Hamilton Coleman.

Mrs. Doris Welch is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Anna Hamilton Coleman; husband, Rev. Grady Welch and son, Roger Cochran.

Mrs. Doris Welch is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Leon and Melinda Goble and Edwin and Brenda Goble; daughter-in-law, Vera Cochran; brother, Hoyt Coleman and wife Sandy; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and also many nieces and nephews survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Welch will be conducted on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. R.B. Hulsey and Rev. Jerome Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Welch will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Allen McCollum, Jacob Abercrombie, Jarrod Cochran, Austin Blakely, Richard Seymore and Christopher Buttram.
