Mrs. Doris Ayers Daniel, age 90, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was born on April 22, 1921 in Haralson, County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd and Pearl Ayers.

Mrs. Daniel was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, an active member and treasurer of the June Jewell Circle, owner of West Avenue Clothing Store and current book keeper of 301 Main and Holmes Clothing Stores.

Mrs. Daniel is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy D. Casey and Bruce and Alice D. Pittman and Mike; brother and sister-in-law, Harold Ayers and Linda; five grandchildren, Laurie C. Hughes (Gene), Ronald Bryant Casey (Dondra Price), Daniel Robert Gray (Sarah), Stephen Patrick Casey (Erin) and Anna Katherine Gray (Chet Cleland) and six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dawson and Kalli Cleland, Will Hughes, Andrew Gray and Aidan Gonzalez.

Mrs. Daniel is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bryant Heflin Daniel; son, Bryant Ted Daniel; sisters, Syble Ayers Nagy and Hilda Ayers Wilson and brother, Lewis Ayers.

The funeral services for Mrs. Doris Ayers Daniel will be conducted on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at eleven o'clock in the morning at First United Methodist Church in Cedartown with Dr. Bob Hoffman officiating and Mr. Mike Pittman and Mr. Elliott Gammage speaking.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Daniel will receive family and friends on Friday, January 20, 2012 from five o'clock in the evening until seven o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Daniel's grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Ron Casey, Stephen Casey, Daniel Gray, Gene Hughes and Chet Cleland.
