Ms. Doratha Turner Puckett, age 90 of Cedartown passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013. She was born on November 29, 1923 in Anniston, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Alvin Turner and Lorena Harris Simpson.
Ms. Puckett is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Buster and Pat Puckett, Gary and Rae Puckett and Darrell and Cathy Puckett; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Puckett is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George "Bud" Puckett; son, Jim Puckett; great-granddaughter, Carly Rae Adams and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral arrangements for Ms. Puckett will be conducted on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. C.A. Sonny Moon officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family of Ms. Puckett will receive family and friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Kenneth Puckett, Charlie Puckett, Cory Puckett, Chris Robinson, Jason Hogue and Randy Womack.
