Mrs. Donna Jordan, age 68 of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. She was born on April 22, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late John William and Betty Ann Neelley.
Mrs. Jordan graduated Gordon High school in Decatur, Georgia in the year of 1963. Mrs. Jordan has been of member of First Baptist Church, since 1974. She was very active member at First Baptist Church; she was the Former Director of WMU, Bereavement Committee, and was a Nursery and Children's Teacher. Mrs. Jordan served on the Military Academy Selection panel of Congressman Larry McDonald in the year 1979. She was also a former officer and a lifetime member of Cedartown Junior Service League. She was the secretary and treasurer of WG Bruner Oil Company and a part of the Christian Women's Club of Polk County.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 46 years, Roland Jordan; children, Kelly and Brad Dennis, Jason and Molly Jordan and Chad and Jenean Prater; grandchildren Tyler Dennis, Lily Kate Prater, Caroline Jordan and Neelley Jordan; Cousin, Sara Wall; Sister and Brother-in-law, James and Kathleen Lovelace; Niece, Sheila Silva; and Nephew, Patrick Daniel.
Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by; her parents, John William and Betty Ann Neelley; grandparents, John David and Lillian Patten.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jordan will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at two o'clock at Cedartown First Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating and a closing prayer by Peggy Moore. Mrs. Jordan will lie in state for an hour before the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Jordan will receive family and friends on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from five o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Ted Burnley, John Kelley, David Brown, Jeff Taffar, Chad Woods, Patrick Daniel, Chip Popham and John Freeman.
