Mr. D. L. McCray, age 75, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday October 23, 2009. He was born in Haralson County, GA on April 17, 1934.

Mr. McCray is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Eslie McCray and Elsie Mae Gable McCray; sisters, Lillian Gladden Brock and Joyce B. McCray; and brother, Douglas Arthur McCray.

He is survived by his daughter, Vickie McCray Coleman; sons, Jeffery David McCray, Kevin Scott McCray, and William Todd McCray; sisters, Lucy McCray Garner and Mary McCray East; former wife, Barbara McKibben McCray; and special friend, Brenda Bowman. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday October 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at East View Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Campbell and Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memory Gardens.

Brian McCray, Brad East, Greg Garner, Ricky McKibben, Donnie McKibben,and Jimmy McKibben will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday October 25, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
