Mr. Dickey Ray Thacker, Sr., age 53, of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. He was born September 8, 1955 in Polk County. Dickey was the son of George and Pearl Fednander Thacker.

Preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, Johnny Eugene Thacker.

Mr. Dickey Thacker is survived by daughters, Patricia Petroski, Sherry Seigmyre, and Tammy Crawford; sons, Dickey Ray Thacker, Jr., Ray Anthony Thacker, and Ricky Ford; brothers, Daniel Lee Thacker and Dorsey Thacker. Grandchildren, Danielle Cheyenne Thacker, Taylor Ford, Joey Seigmyre, Kimberly Seigmyre, Kristi Scott, and Kayla Macmillan also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Dickey Ray Thacker, Sr. will be conducted on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Dunn and Rev. Ken Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Ricky Ford, Ricky Thacker, Dion Thacker, Michael Shirley, Donnie Thacker, and Danny Thacker.

The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday, January 22nd and 23rd, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. each night at the Gammage Funeral Home.
