Mr. David V. Weaver, U.S. Army, Retired age 83, of the Borden Springs, Alabama Community passed away on December 6, 2010. He was born March 1, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA.

After serving in the U. S. Navy as a Frogman for five years. Mr. Weaver made a decision to leave the Navy and enlist in the U. S. Army. He retired as First Sgt after twenty-five years of service. He later was employed by Lee Cylinder.

Mr. Weaver is survived by wife, Joan Weaver; sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Adam Weaver and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Weaver; grandchildren, David Weaver, Dusty Marie Weaver, Justin Weaver, and Skylar Jade Weaver and great-granddaughter, Amy Marie Simmons.

He is preceded in death by parents, George Adam Weaver and Amy Marie Vautier Weaver; son, David Weaver; sister, Ruth Weaver Lucas; brother, George Weaver; grandson, Chris Weaver and Staff Sgt. Shannon Weaver.

In keeping with Mr. Weaver's wishes, he was cremated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10th at 11:00 in the morning at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Church Cemetery. The American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard will conduct full military rites.
