Mr. David Wayne Spann, age 47, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was born on June 30, 1964. He was the son of Mr. Robert Lewis Spann, Sr. and Mrs. Carolyn Faye Watson Spann.

Mr. Spann is survived by his wife, Marcy Lynn Wagoner Spann; children, Kevin Joel Spann, Daniel Kay Cooners, "Chuckie" Charles Ross Albright and Miranda Elizabeth Albright; brothers and sister-in-laws, Robert L. Spann, Jr. and wife Stacy and Russell "Rusty" Spann and wife Tisha; several nieces and nephews; one great nephew and four grandchildren.

Mr. Spann is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Lee Spann.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Spann will be conducted on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Church of God with Rev. John Motes and Rev. Phil Smitherman officiating. Mr. Spann will lie in state at the church from twelve (noon) until the funeral hour.

Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Spann will receive family and friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from seven o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The family has asked that flowers please be omitted and donations please be made to Grace Covenant, P.O. Box 664, Cedartown, GA 30125.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Kevin Spann, Carl Redding, Seth Spann, Jacob Spann, Bobby Burton and Johnny Snow. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerome Stephens and TY Huff.
