Mrs. Daisy West Cooper, age 86, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. She was born August 3, 1923 in Haralson County, the daughter of Thomas Levi West and Mary Etta Powell West (both deceased).
Mrs. Cooper was a life-long, beloved member of The First Baptist Church. She was a retired Polk School District employee where she worked many years as bookkeeper.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death (1997) by husband, Hall Clemson Cooper; two sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Pennington and son, Gayland West Cooper. Grandchildren, Lara and John Gill and Russ and Kelli Pennington; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gill, Jack Gill, and Caroline Pennington also survive.
The graveside service and interment for Mrs. Daisy Cooper will be conducted on Friday, March 5th , at 2:00 p.m. in the family lot at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 4th , from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Russ Pennington, John Gill, Jerry Pratt Holland, Darroll Freeman, and Gary Broster.
