Obituary

Mr. Curtis Padgett, age 91, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020.  He was born on July 3, 1928 in Ducktown, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Claude Padgett and Ida Mae Newton Padgett.

Mr. Padgett was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife, Vickie Maddox Padgett; sons, David (Jennifer) Padgett, (Austin, TX.), Scott (Keisha) Padgett, (Villa Rica); daughters, Cheryl Padgett (Norcross), Rebecka (Dan) Dunn, (Cedartown), Penny (Mike) Shireman (Kingston), Vanessa (Randy) Gibson, (Rockmart), Shelby (Coby) Padgett, (Cedartown); 22 grandchildren; 10 1/2 great-grandchildren; and 1 fur baby, Nicholas.

Mr. Padgett is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia Kuglar and Allie Mae Welborn; brothers, Robert Padgett and Clyde Padgett.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Curtis Padgett will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Kelley and Rev. Justin Carter officiating.

Interment will be conducted on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at eleven thirty in the morning at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.

The family of Mr. Padgett will receive family and friends on Monday, February 3, 2020 from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers,Clyde Padgett, David Kennedy, Scott Padgett, Wesley Alred, Eli Knoble, Josh Gibson, Walker Yoakum, Dallas Ferguson, Dakota Padgett, Justin Yancey.
