Connie Lynn Calvert died unexpectedly on the morning of December 21st after an evening of entertaining company in her home with her best friend, Joseph Stewart.

Connie is survived by her two children, son Scott James Vail and daughter Tracy (Vail) Gunkle, as well as her six-grandchildren; Brent Calvert, Karson Charles, Greyson James, Ryeder Brooks, Weston Calvert and Karter Rose Vail.

Connie was born on February 27, 1945 to William and Betty Botsford in Des Moines, Iowa. Connie married just out of high school to James McGuire Vail and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where started a family and raised their two children. After the passing of James Vail in 1980, Connie wed Walter Al Calvert and the family relocated to sunny Naples, Florida. Connie worked part-time, always devoting the majority of her time to her family and friends. Walter passed away in 2004 and Connie moved back to Georgia, eventually settling in Cedartown where she met and fell in love with Joseph Stewart with whom she delighted in spending her remaining days with here on this Earth. Connie was happier than she had ever been over the last few years and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In keeping with Ms. Calvert's wishes she was cremated.  A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
