Mr. Clyde Eugene Benefield, age 87, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020.  He was born on October 1, 1932 in Euharlee, Georgia.  He was the son of the late William Luther and Fannie Mae Watters Benefield.

Mr. Benefield is survived by his wife, Bennie Goss Benefield; daughters, Angela Benefield Rice (Wendell) and Connie Benefield Lane; sons, Mark Eugene Benefield (Brandi) and Anthony Ray Benefield (Margie); sister, Frances Benefield Priest; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Benefield is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Norma Jean Benefield; sisters, Edna Benefield Walker, Lois Benefield Nichols, Doris Benefield Amos and Lorena Benefield Maxwell; and brothers, Robert Lee Benefield, Chesley Benefield, William Cecil Benefield, and James A. Benefield.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Clyde Eugene Benefield will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 2:30 pm in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Rice and Rev. Trey Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in the Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kindell Davis officiating.

The family of Mr. Benefield will receive family and friends on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 12:30pm until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jeremy Benefield, Dustin Benefield, Chase Benefield, Clay Benefield, Drake Benefield, Matt Crawford, Kevin Dial, Austin Davis, Andrew Davis and Colton Jones.
