Mr. Clyde N. Bedford, age 90, of Cedartown passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010. He was born June 28, 1919 in Marietta, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Lois Blalock Bedford; wives, Zelia McElwee Bedford, Dorothy McGee Bedford, and Thelma Newby Bedford; three sisters, Jessie Mae Bedford Newsome, Polly Bedford Corn, Sue Bedford; one brother James Bedford; and great grandson Jacob Wilson.

Mr. Bedford is survived by daughter, Dale McAdams (Nick); son, Nickey Bedford (Mary); step daughter, Barbara Kirkpatrick; and brother, Loyed Bedford (Peggy). Also surviving are eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

The graveside service for Mr. Clyde N. Bedford will be conducted on Sunday, April 18th at 4:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Bill Garmon officiating.

Grandsons serving as Pallbearers are Chuck Bedford, Kenneth McAdams, Todd Kirkpatrick, Randy Kirkpatrick, Greg Guthrie, Joel Guthrie, Malcolm Barfield, and Brent Johnston.


The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 18th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home. The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Clyde N. Bedford.
