Mr. Clinton Cantrell, age 92, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born on October 9, 1920 in Polk County. He was the son of the late Emory Cantrell and Pauline Ray Cantrell.
Mr. Cantrell is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene Smoak and Gary, Sandy New and Chris and Vicki Beasley and Mike; sister, Estelle Clinton; brother, Joe Cantrell; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cantrell is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Louise "Dot" Pruitt Cantrell; sister, Martha Williams and brother, Earl Cantrell.
The funeral arrangements for Mr. Cantrell will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Lake Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Arp and Rev. Ray Hopkins officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service at Lake Creek Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Brewster-Cleveland Post 86 Honor Guard.
The family of Mr. Cantrell will receive family and friends on Friday, May 10, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Kevin Ramey, John Paul Jones, Matthew Murphy, Scott Graham, Marty Bevins, Clint Ramey and Todd Patrick.
