Mr. Christopher Mark Hobgood, age 46, of Carvon Hill, Alabama passed away on June 3, 2007. He was born on January 17, 1961 in Polk County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Monroe Hobgood and Betty Jo Benefield Hobgood and grandparents, N.R. and Beatrice Benefield.

Mr. Hobgood is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Cherie Chafin and Paul Chafin and Renee Sterling and Barry Sterling; step daughter, Kayla Pierce and step son, Keith Pierce and Dakota Pierce. Also surviving are nieces Haley Cabe and Meleia Chafin and nephews, Trevor Chafin and Nick Chafin.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 6th at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5th from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Kris Williams, Nick Chafin, Trevor Chafin, Jeff Williams, John Benefield, Barry Sterling, Paul Chafin and Steve Wilson.
