Charlotte "Sharby" Smith , age 82 of formerly Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She was born on October 7, 1931 in Polk County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Kate Rose Mathis Smith.

Charlotte Smith is survived by her daughter, Sherry Morris of Benson, North Carolina. Known as Grango by her loving grandchildren, Joshua Doepke, Nathan Doepke, Randy Kate Doepke Galvin, and Abigail Hooper Pressley; and Great Grandchildren, Riley James Galvin, Robert Thomas "Bo" Galvin, Smith Kate Galvin. She is also survived by her special nephew, Ted Smith.

Charlotte Smith is preceded in death by her son, Randy D. Morris; Sisters, Clottee Taylor of Piedmont, Edith Gibson of Piedmont, Helen Henden also of Piedmont; brother, Seaburn "Bub" Smith; and parents.

The funeral arrangements for Charlotte Smith will be conducted on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Dwayne New officiating. Interment will follow forty- five minutes after the service concludes in Highland City Cemetery in Piedmont, Alabama with Dr. Dwayne New officiating.

The family of Mrs. Smith will receive family and friends on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from eleven o'clock in the morning until twelve o'clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.
