Ms. Charlotte Edna McWhorter Earley, age 77 of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014. She was born on June 25, 1937 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Josephine Palmer McWhorter.
She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, and her laughter and great sense of humor will be missed. She attended Grace Baptist Church on College Street and worked with flannel graph for several years and taught Bible classes and Sunday School.
Ms. Earley is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Debi and Bruce Beckman and Jo Ann Ackley and Jim Tantillo; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene Welchel and Frances and John L. Mobbs; grandchildren, Robin Benefield, Micky and Ale Beckman, Alison and Brandon East, Brian and Stephanie Beckman and TJ Beckman; great-grandchildren, Robert and James Benefield, Ema, Maya and Logan Beckman, Trent and Solomon East, Dustin Ward and Tristan Davis; nieces and nephews, Polly and Stanley Hopkins, Pamela and Tracy O'Neal, Kevin and Selena Mobbs, Edward Welchel, Beverly and Danny Stephens, Dianne and Gary Quick and Darlene and Jerry Killinger; great- nieces and nephews, Kayland Hopkins, Ethan O'Neal, Dixie Mobbs, Justin Goldin, Tiffany Brumit, Ava Boling, Makayla Thomason and Jovie and Seamus Goldin and several cousins also survive.
Ms. Earley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Earley; niece, Bonita Welchel; sister-in-law, Margaret Gore and brothers-in-law, Donald Gore and Robert Welchel.
In keeping with Ms. Earley's wishes' she was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
