Mrs. Charlotte Hughes, age 74, of Cedartown, and formerly of East Elijay, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014. She was born on July 13, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Virgil Tatum and Annie Painter Tatum.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband, Howard Hughes; children, Robert Hughes, Virgilene Dunson, Angie and Wendell Martin, and Henrietta and Ronald Rampley; sister, Pat Carroll; 7 grandchildren, Kelly Hughes, April Pinson, Sam Pinson, Josh Dunson, Pearle Martin, Jade Martin, and Janice Rampley; and 4 great-grandchildren, Jason Hughes, Michael Hughes, Dennis Chavez and Gil Hughes

Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elsie Hughes; and brother, Bill Tatum.

The memorial service for Mrs. Charlotte Hughes will be conducted on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at twelve noon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Martin officiating.

In accordance with Mrs. Hughes wishes she was cremated.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
