Mrs. Charlotte Moore Blair, age 95 of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 peacefully in her home. She was born on August 20, 1922 in Cedartown, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Rena H. and Cordia Gossett Moore.
Mrs. Blair was of the Christian faith and a long time member of World View Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir with her beautiful alto voice. Mrs. Charlotte loved her family and she was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Blair is survived by her daughter, Sharon Blair Chilcoat (Woody) of Roanoke, VA; daughter-in-law, Nan Blair of Bremen, GA; sister, Faye Herren of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters, Kristi Blair of Roanoke, VA and Allison Jones (Dwight) of Alpharetta, GA; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Phoebe Jones and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Blair is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis L. Blair; sons, Sandy Blair and Kirby Blair; sister, Beatrice Ford and twin brother, Charles Moore and brothers, Glenn Moore and Mack Moore.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Charlotte Blair will be conducted on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral with Dr. Larry Conner and Rev. Chris Hearne officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating.
The family of Mrs. Blair will receive family and friends on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The family has requested that flowers are to be omitted and donations can be made to Oak Grove Cemetery Commission, c/o, Larry Dooley, 636 Cherokee Road, Cedartown, GA 30125 or World View Baptist Church Music Ministry, 500 College Drive, Cedartown, GA 30125.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Henry Runyan, Dale Long, Dwight Jones and Eddie Ford.
