Mr. Charlie F. Short, age 67 of Cherokee County, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014. He was born in Cedartown, Georgia on November 17, 1946.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Diane Hulsey Short; parents, John Lawson Short & Lucille Welchel Short, and sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen Barbee & Eddie Barbee.

Mr. Short is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Sam Short & Sonya Shuler and Bubba Short & Marti Short. Also surviving are grandchildren, Dylan Short, Hayden Short, Mason Short, MaKenzee Short, Morgan Short, Ashley Watson; a great granddaughter, Finleigh Watson; and brothers, Lawson Short and Edward Short.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Charlie F. Short will be conducted on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Short will receive family and friends on Monday, August 11, 2014 from six o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
