Obituary

Mr. Charles (Chuck) Noel Harmison Sr., age 83 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was born on May 14, 1931. He was the son of the late Dan and Elizabeth Sirbaugh Harmison.

Mr. Harmison is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Noel Harmison (Jennifer); daughter, Theresa Packer (Harold); grandchildren, Michael Packer (Amanda), Aimee Madden (Britt), John Packer (Anna); sisters, Barbara Mershon and Cheryl Singhal of Maryland.

Mr. Harmison is preceded in death by his parents of West Virginia; brother, Van Harmison of Virginia; and son Chris Harmison.

Mr. Harmison served 4 years in the naval reserves as a fireman and helicopter mechanic, He also served 4 years of active service aboard the USS Wasp during the Korean War. After his time in the service Mr. Harmison was employed by the Transamerica Insurance & Investment Company as a general agent for 35 years.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Harmison will be conducted on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 2:00 in the afternoon in the Chapel of Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Campbell, Rev. Delton Harne, and Rev. John Moates officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery, with full military right conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard.

The family of Mr. Harmison will receive family and friends on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Harold Packer, Michael Packer, John Packer, Britt Madden, Steve Biddy, and Jon Jones; with "The Tuck Street Gang", Nicky & Mary Bedford, Euzeal and Pat Jones, Wilson and Melba Wallace, and Mrs. Paul Moody (Peggy) serving as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers are being accepted however memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in his honor.
