Mr. Charles Thomas Hampton, age 70, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. He was born January 26, 1937 in Polk County to parents, Willie Eugene and Pauline Hampton.
Mr. Hampton was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia.
Mr. Hampton is preceded in death by wife, Mary Ann Hampton; father, Willie Eugene Hampton; and sister, Mary Jane Hampton.
Mr. Charles Thomas Hampton is survived by mother, Pauline Sexton Hampton; daughters, Rhonda Hampton and Kimberley Hampton Isbell. He is also survived by granddaughters, Kaley Renee Patterson and Rebecca Isbell.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Rome, GA with Rev. Johnny Carroll, Rev. Bryan Prance and Rev. Jimmy Rampley officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to the funeral service.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 10, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Cecil Oliver, Charles Roberson, Dewayne Roberson, Jeff Oliver, Aaron Little and David Brown.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charles Thomas Hampton.
