Mr. Charles G. "Buddy" Hampton, age 60, of Cedartown passed away on Tuesday, September 04, 2007. He was born February 7, 1947 in Floyd County. Mr. Hampton was a United States Army veteran having served in the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Charles G. "Buddy" Hampton was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Charles Earnest Hampton.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lynn Hampton; daughter, Dana Lee Hampton and sister and brother-in-law, Carole and David Johnson.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Dewayne New officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 5, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
