Mr. Charles C. Howard, age 78, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013. He was born on August 26, 1935 in Polk County. He was the son of the late Mr. Jay Howard and Mrs. Mary Magaline Brown Howard.

Mr. Howard retired from Holcombe Foodland Grocery in Tallapoosa. He was a member of Lindsey Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mr. Howard is survived by his son, Charles Michael Howard; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Keith Richards; and grandson, Cody Richards.

Mr. Howard is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Margaret Jo Moncrief Howard.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Howard will be conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Nancy F. English and Rev. Danny Watters officiating.
Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Garden Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Osborne officiating at the graveside.

The family of Mr. Howard will receive family and friends on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Darryl Watters, Eddie Watters, Larry Mosley, Mark Wallace, Jimmy Tracey, Glenn Vinson, Eddie Hooper, and Billy Russell.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted and that memorial contributions be made to:
Lindsey Chapel United Methodist Church, 106 Abner Drive, Cedartown, Georgia 30125.
