Mr. Charles William Benefield, age 86 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026.  He was born on March 28, 1940 in Cedartown.  He was the son of the late N.R. (Noble Ruffin) "Hoke" and Beatrice Biggers Benefield.

Mr. Benefield is survived by his daughters, Courtney Benefield and Cynthia Lindsey (Steve); sister, Beth Helton and grandchildren, Morgan Lindsey and Andrew Lindsey.

Mr. Benefield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Gwendolyn Thefield Benefield; son, Gregory Todd Benefield; sister, Betty B. Hobgood and brother, John Harold Benefield.

A memorial service for Mr. Benefield will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.  The family of Mr. Benefield will receive family and friend one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral Home.
