Mrs. Cathy Pruitt Stephens, age 57, of Cedartown passed away on June 11, 2007. She was born on April 7, 1950 in Polk County.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Bettie Heath; parents, Russell Pruitt and Rachel Heath Pruitt Sparks; step grandchildren, Josh Stephens and Bridget Brown.

She is survived by her husband, James Ralph Stephens, Jr.; daughters, Pam Lane and Nikki Johnson; sisters, Phyllis Pruitt, Vicki Pruitt Baldwin, Kay Pruitt; step children, Chip Stephens, Cindy Brown, Sammy Stephens and Valerie Kelley; granddaughters, Jessie Hicks and Ally Hicks; niece, Shantae Pruitt Peace; nephews, Heath Baldwin, Russ Baldwin, Lee Hilliard and Jonathan Hilliard and mother-in-law, Argris E. Stephens. Also surviving are 14 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 15th at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Stephens, Rev. Roger Parris officiating. The interment service will follow in Northview Cemetery with Darrell Stephens officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14th from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are David Hicks, Josh Bullard, Cody Brown, Jarrod Thornton, Lee Hillard and Heath Baldwin. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Kelley, John Kelley, Russ Baldwin, Clint Peugh, Cliff Bullard, Richard Johnson, Shane Stephens and Billy Brown.
