Mrs. Carole Force Duke, age 81, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. She was born on October 18, 1940 in Covington, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Torrence William and Georgia Fay Fortner Force.

Mrs. Duke was employed with Polk School District for 38 years.

Mrs. Duke is survived by her daughters, Mellie D. Justad (Todd) and Kim D. Layden (John); and grandson, Jack D. Justad.

Mrs. Duke is preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Payne Duke.

In keeping with Mrs. Duke's wishes, she was cremated.  A private family memorial will be held at a later time.
