Mr. Carl Clark Smith, Sr. age 77 of Snellville, passed away on June 4, 2010. He was born April 8, 1933 in Aragon, the son of E. C. Smith and Ada Sue Sanders Smith (both deceased). Also preceding him in death are brothers, Jimmy Ray Smith, Nathaniel Smith, and Ernest "Buster" Smith.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.

Mr. Carl Clark Smith, Sr. is survived by wife, Sylvia Duke Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Carl Clark Jr. and Maria Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Carla Ann and David Sutherland; sisters, Delma Wilson, Helen Stroup, Sara Lou Wood, Linda Womack. Grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Ryan Smith, Lyn Sutherland, Christy Sutherland, Tyler Sutherland; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Carl Clark Smith, Sr. will be conducted on Sunday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Pallbearers are Wayne Wood, Richard Stanley, Terry Stroup, Shane Smith, Brett Hunter, and Jerry Timms.
