Mr. Calvin Bruce Phillips, age 83, of Pace, Florida, formally of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010. He was born on August 30, 1926 in Cave Spring, Georgia, the son of Bruce Phil and Myrtle South Phillips. (both deceased)

Mr. Calvin Phillips was an employee of Jefferson Smurfit as a watchman for many years. He was in the Navy and Army Air Core.

Mr. Calvin Phillips is survived by wife, Lucille McDowell Phillips; daughter and son-inlaw, Vickie Phillips Ochoa and Arnold; son and daughter- inlaw, Dennis Phillips and Pat; sister, Opal Rudeseal; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife Lauren Ochoa, Allison Boggs and husband Greg and Brandon Phillips; great-grandchild, Joshua Boggs.

Mr. Calvin Phillips is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Myrtle South Phillips; sisters, Lorraine Willis, Frances Duncan, Estelle McKibben, and Glovis Eugenia "Doad" Shiflett; brothers, Cooper Phillips, Clifford Phillips and James Phillips.

The funeral service for Mr. Calvin Phillips will be on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11 o'clock in the morning at Southside Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Bud Davis and Rev. Joel Smith will be officiating. The family of Mr. Phillips will receive friends on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 6pm- 8pm at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Bill McDowell, Brandon Phillips, Jeremy Ochoa, Ronnie Jones, Mike Jones and Jeffery Jones.
