Mr. Buford Lee Shaw, age 81, of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was born on February 27, 1934 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Harvey Shaw and Lula Wiggins Alexander.

Mr. Shaw was a member of the Dugdown Baptist Church since 1999 and retired from Georgia Power with 30 years.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Myrtle Atkins Shaw; daughters and son-in-law, Janice Shaw Hulsey and Freddie and Leigh Ann Shaw; son and daughter-in-law, Ray Shaw and Tina; grandchildren, Hannah Shaw and Cody Hulsey (Whitney); great- grandchild, Brylee Hulsey and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Shaw is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James Wiggins, Merlin Shaw and Eugene Shaw.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Buford Lee Shaw will be conducted on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Blake Dodd and Rev. Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Max Cook officiating.

The family of Mr. Shaw will receive family and friends on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Cody Hulsey, Jeff Atkins, Mike Atkins, Shane Payton, Rodney Dodd, Bill Ricks, Bo Cook and Mike Leapord. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Benefield and the men of Dugdown Baptist Church.
