On April 8, 2024 Brady Ray Redding, 37 years old, passed away peacefully and suddenly at his home in Cedartown, Georgia. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 25, 1986 to Tony and Gayle Redding.  His middle name suited him perfectly, as he truly was a ray of sunshine.

Brady loved his Mom and Dad beyond measure.  There isn't anything he wouldn't have done for them.  A phone call, chat or letter NEVER ended without "I Love You."  His mom taught him to serve the Lord, read the Bible, and the importance of developing a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He attended Cedar Lake Christian and then Cedartown Church of God and was baptized by Pastor John Moates.  His dad taught him to be a leader, a provider, and a protector.  Brady was all the world and more to his Mom and Dad.  He was all and more they had asked for God.

Growing up, Brady's friends and family would describe him as a charismatic, smart, sociable, and athletic young man.  It seemed as though he knew everyone and everyone knew him.  He was wildly passionate about basketball and by 8th grade knew that was his sport of choice.  He went on to earn many prestigious awards in high school such as "All-Conference", All Region, was inducted into his high school's Hall of Fame, was Team Captain, awarded the Team MVP, and was elected Homecoming King.  It was safe to say that Brady was well liked, appreciated, and valued by his peers.

After high school, Brady developed an interest in MMA fighting and kickboxing.  He began his advanced training in martial arts in 2006.  By 2007, he started entering kickboxing tournaments and placed 3rd at the Regional Kickboxing Federation.  Brady had an unwavering drive and determination for success.  This determination later drove him to get his certification in personal fitness as well as start a business in the Health, Wellness, and Fitness Industry in Fort Myers, Florida.  He also worked for Home Depot both in Cedartown and Fort Myers.

Brady loved traveling.  His first plane ride was as a toddler and he flew extensively after that.  Brady visited many US states and major cities as well as Jamaica, Bahamas and enjoyed several cruises.  He never met a stranger, even in a strange land, city, town or state.

Brady is preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Bernice Fricks and John and Mamie Lou Redding; uncles, Gary Redding and Kenneth Landrum; and first cousin, Brent Barrett.

Brady is survived by his parents; sister, Sherry Pilgram Worthy (Ryan); nieces, Morgan Fincher (Tyler), Mackenzie Youngblood (Keyshun), Payton Worthy, Mary Kathryn Barrett (Ryan) and Wendy Redding (Anthony); nephew, Mason Gore (Bella); aunts, Pat Redding, and Sheila Redding Barrett; first cousins, Todd Redding, Scott Redding (Amy), Steve Landrum (Trish), Susan Earnest (Ryan) and Cindy Willis (Adrian); and plus many great-nieces and nephews on both sides that he adored.

The funeral service for Mr. Redding will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Mr. and Mrs. Chris and Crystal Walls officiating.  Mr. Redding will be cremated following the funeral service.

The family of Mr. Redding will receive family and friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: John Schmidt, Brandon Wood, Payton Wood, Michael Raymond, and Wade Cook.
