Mr. Bobby C. McElwee, age 74 of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was born on July 13, 1936 in Cedartown, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. John Elmer McElwee and Mrs. Grace Landers McElwee.

Bobby was a retired Forest Ranger from the Georgia Forestry Commission and a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. McElwee is survived by his sons & daughter-in-laws, Bobby & Beth McElwee, Scott & Dianna McElwee; grandchildren, Katie McElwee, Madison McElwee, and April Ruark.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jackie Lott McElwee; and brother, Howard Van McElwee.

A graveside for Bobby C. McElwee will be conducted on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Eleven o'clock in the morning at Greenwood Cemetery with Lynn Gammage officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday May 16, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Joey Sorrells, Rob McElwee, Greg McElwee, Jeremy Ruark, Bobby McElwee, and Scott McElwee.
