Mrs. Betty Moody Worthington age 75, of Cedartown passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006. She was born on October 7, 1931.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Preston Worthington; parents, Zula and Homer Moody, Sr.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Ruth Worthington of Cedartown and Bob and Scottie Worthington of Buchanan; sisters, Jeanette Morgan, Sara Moody and Shirley Redding all of Cedartown; brothers, Homer Moody, Jr. of Silverdale, Washington; Clinton Moody of Boaz, Alabama; Paul Moody of Cedartown and Harland Moody of Cedartown. Also surviving are 4 Granddaughters and 1 grandson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Worthington will be conducted on Friday, January 13th at 11:00AM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tayve Morgan, Dr. David Taylor, Rev. Danny Tucker officiating, also speaking Mr. Olin L. Gammage III. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12th from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Gammage Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Heyman Hospice, 800 N. Broad Street, Rome, Georgia 30161.
Pallbearers are Tony Schubert, Jay Chambers, Jan Redding, Wayne Gammon, Bill Brinkley and Larry Keith.
