Ms. Betty Catherine Whitley Hopper, age 82 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013. She was born on May 9, 1931 in Polk County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Eli Whitley and Jennie Leslie Whitley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert "Bob" Hopper, daughter, Kay Hopper McDougal, and granddaughter, Leslie Kathleen Cain.

Ms. Hopper is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Freddy Verner; grandsons, Clay Cain and William Verner; great granddaughters, Maggie Cain, Brooke Verner, Kaytlyn Verner; and caregivers, Betty Ann Redding, Pat Burgess, and Darda Dore.

The graveside service for Ms. Betty Hopper will be conducted on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 o'clock in the morning at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Paul Leslie officiating.

Pallbearers will be Clay Cain, Kyle Banks, Noel Smith, William Verner, Alan Akin, and Sammy Wright. Honorary Pallbearers are Hope Smith, Shelton Hopper, Billy Leslie, and Danny Crook.

The family of Mrs. Hopper will receive family and friends on Friday, July 5, 2013 from six o'clock until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
