Mrs. Betty Jean Wheeler, age 61, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011. She was born on October 11, 1949 in Cedartown, she is the daughter of the late Mr. Henry "Hershel Short and Ms. Ollie Mozell Welchel Short.

Mrs. Wheeler was a seamstress at Arrow for many years.

Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her mother, Ollie Mozell Welchel Short; her loving husband, Larry Wheeler; sons and daughter in-laws, Scott and Stephanie Wheeler and Brian and Tiffany Wheeler; brother, Roy Short and four grandchildren, Taylor, Ansley, Cade and McKenzie Wheeler.

Mrs. Wheeler is preceded in death by her father, Henry "Hershel" Short; sister, Virginia Gormley and brother, Floyd Short.

The funeral service for Mrs. Wheeler will be conducted on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. DeWayne New officiating.

Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Wheeler will receive friends on Tuesday, March 01, 2011 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Willie Short, Gene Short, Brandon Short, Marty Short, Richard Corn and Lawson Short.
