Mrs. Betty Josephine Morrison, 73 of Aragon passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at her granddaughter's home in Cartersville, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Morrison was the daughter of Walter Maxwell Teems and Muriel Irene Teems, both formerly of Cedartown. She attended Cedartown High School. She married Charles Wesley Morrison on December 29, 1951 at Southside Baptist Church by her uncle, Rev. James Teems. Charles and Betty moved to Ohio in 1952. She was an employee of the Orr Felt Company as a supervisor until her retirement in 1982. They returned home to Cedartown in 1991 due to Charles' retirement where they spent the remainder of their lives with their family.
Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by husband, Charles Wesley Morrison in 1995; grandparents, Beauregard and Georgia Kelley and Monroe and Emma Teems all of Cedartown; parents, Walter and Muriel Teems of Bellview, Florida; brother, Walter M. Teems.
Family survivors include daughters, Connie Morrison of Aragon and Cynthia Wilson of Brunswick; brother, Wayne Teems of North Carolina; sister, Martha Nicedemous of Belleview, Florida. Grandchildren, Bradley Campbell, Amy Terry, Randy Wilson, Jr., Matthew Wilson, Christina Wilson, Courtney Wilson, Jacob Wilson, and Ashley Rice; five great-grandchildren also survives.
The graveside service and interment for Mrs. Betty Josephine Morrison will be conducted on Friday, November 14, at 3:00 p.m. at Northview Cemetery with Rev. C. R. Martin officiating.
Pallbearers are Marcus Terry, Randy Wilson, Jr., Glen Rice, Jr., Bradley Campbell, Billy Bennett, and Charles Bennett.
Honorary pallbearers are Ralph J. Thumma and Rev. James Teems.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Betty Josephine Morrison.
