Mrs. Betty Ann Short, age 62, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009. She was born November 18, 1946 in Calhoun County, Alabama.

Mrs. Short is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie E. Davis and Minnie Ballew Davis; sister, "Bea" Hopkins and brothers, Dewey Davis and Jimmy Davis.

Family members surviving are husband, Roy Eugene Short; sons, Willie Short and Gene Short; sisters, Christine McCollum, Patsy Morris, and Margie Reid; brother, "Whitey" Davis. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Ann Short will be conducted on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral with Rev. Tommy Ballew officiating. The interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 9, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Scott Wheeler, Brian Wheeler, Hubert Sisson, Kyle Norris, Johnny Hopkins, and Scott McCollum.
