Ms. Betty Jean Shaw Olive, age 68, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was born on July 8, 1944 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Hazel Robbins Shaw.

Ms. Olive is survived by her sons, Earnest Olive and William Olive; sisters, Nell Dillinger, Shirley Hudgins and Ruby Garner; brothers, Jimmy Shaw, Jerry Shaw; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ms. Olive is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie William Olive, Sr.; son, James Henry Olive and brother, Jessie Ray Shaw.

A graveside service for Ms. Olive will be conducted on Sunday, July 15, 2012 in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery at two o'clock in the afternoon.

The family of Ms. Olive will receive family and friends on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
