Mrs. Betty MaeDell Forrister Pierce, age 78 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. She was born on January 19, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mildred Pruitt Forrister.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughters, Dawn Folsom, Tracy Jones (Bill) and Lynn Rolen (Dennie); son, Terry Folsom (Stephanie); sister, Virginia Thomason (Vernoy); 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pierce is preceded in death by her parents; husband, O.W. Pierce; daughter, Carol Atkins and brothers, James R. Forrister and Douglas Forrister.

In keeping with Mrs. Pierce's wishes' she was cremated. A memorial service for Mrs. Betty MaeDell Forrister Pierce will be conducted on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at five o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Kermit Pruitt officiating.

The family of Mrs. Pierce will receive family and friends on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from three o'clock in the afternoon until the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
