Mrs. Bessie Mae Witt, age 87, of Fayetteville, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. She was born in Felton, GA on February 29, 1924 to the late James and Ada Hanson Sloman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence Sloman and Jessie Sloman; twin sister, Lee Willamon; grandson, Ted West; great-granddaughter, Claudia Weeks.

Mrs. Bessie Mae Witt is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Allona and Duane E. West, Diane Weeks, and Cynthia and Grant DeLaney; son and daughter-in-law
Eddie and Debra Witt. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 17th, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher West and Rev. Lynn McLain officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are grandsons: Matthew Witt, Tech. Sgt. David Witt, Steve Weeks, Jason Weeks, Jimmy Weeks, Clint DeLaney.
