Obituary

Mrs. Bertha "Loretta" Todd Knight, age 77 of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.  She was born on August 8, 1945 in Dalton, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late John and Sue White Todd.

Loretta was a faithful member of the Baptist faith.  She worked many years and retired from Wal-Mart. She loved reading and crocheting but her greatest joy was her family, to whom she was known as a loving and dedicated wife, mama, and grandmamma.

Mrs. Knight is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Scotty Womack; and brother-in-law, Alton Hall.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband, Charles C. Knight; children, Dana Knight and Brad Shellhorse, Karen Knight and Wayne Barfield; sister,  Eveln Todd Hall; brother and sister-in-law, Johnson and Jean Todd; grandchildren, Cameron Barfield, Joseph Barfield, Evan and Lauren Womack, Ethan, and Patricia Womack, Megan Shellhorse and Justin NeSmith, Blake and Katie Shellhorse; special bonus grands, Bryanna and Tyler Reddish, Deanna Carter and Patrick Carter; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Bertha Loretta Todd Knight will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Hooker officiating and Mrs. Dana Knight Shellhorse given the eulogy.  Entombment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Mr. Brad Shellhorse speaking.

The family of Mrs. Knight will receive family and friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from five o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Cameron Barfield, Joseph Barfield, Evan Womack, Ethan Womack, Edward Todd, and Blake Shellhorse.
