Mrs. Bernice Williams Branch, age 71, formerly of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009. She was born April 14, 1937 in Cherokee County, Alabama.

Mrs. Branch was very active with VFW Post 7404 and AMVETS Post 99 of Carrollton, Georgia where she served her community through many years of volunteer service work.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Marie Williams; sister, Alice Faye Mitchell; and brothers, Grover Williams and Randall Williams.

Mrs. Branch is survived by her husband, Robert E. Branch; daughters, Maria Tatum, Denise Colquitt, and Lenorah Valentine; son, David C. Branch; and sister, Laura Parris. Three grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

The graveside service for Mrs. Bernice Williams Branch will be conducted on Monday, January 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Whorton, Alabama with Rev. Leon Allen officiating.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the graveside service on Monday, January 5, from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
