Mr. Benjamin Hugh Hampton, age 64, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009. He was born April 27, 1945 in Polk County, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by parents, Gordon Patrick Hampton, Sr. and Effie Mae Osborne Hampton; sister, Emma Jean Hampton Presley; and brother, Norman Hampton

Mr. Benjamin Hugh Hampton is survived by sister, Myra Camp; brothers, Wilbert Hampton, Gordon Junior Hampton, and Paul Hampton; five nephews, Dean Presley, Jr., Randy Presley, Sr., Ricky Presley, Sr., Scotty Presley, Sr., and Tommy Presley, Sr.; and niece, Glenda Womack.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 23, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mr. Hampton will be conducted on Thursday, December 24th, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jaimin Mauldin and Rev. Billy Thomas officiating.

Interment will be in Lees Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral service. Lee Presley, Jr., John Presley, "Little" Randy Presley, Jr., Eddie Booth, A.J. Presley, and Patrick Presley will be serving as pallbearers. Michael Womack will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Benjamin Hugh Hampton.
